100% Pinot Tradition

Yves farms 10 ha of vines biodynamically with great success in the Bugey, a tiny appellation of only 500 ha. He makes elegant, precise, and controlled wines from Pinot, Mondeuse, Altesse (Roussette), and Chardonnay. Across all of Yves cuvees you have finesse and balance, his wine all showing great quality for the price. The geology of Bugey is similar to its neighbour, Savoie – fragmented parcels of vines planted in steep slopes above the valley floor. The sedimentary soils date back to a time when dinosaurs roamed and the climate was tropical.

The Pinot Tradition is whole bunch maceration for a week, then aged in old barrels for 5 months, and bottled in Spring. An excellent value Pinot offering something a little different to Burgundy.

Tasting notes : Dark cherries, plum, bright, some earthy notes.

Food pairing : An excellent picnic wine or a great option to go with basically any cheese !
